Seven years later, the finding of oneself.

After the defeat of his master Nergal and a swift vanish from the group he traveled with, Jaffar the infamous "Angel of Death" began his own tale, which started by keeping his head low, avoiding mercenary groups willing to collect an exorbitant amount of gold, in exchange for the heads of the remaining members of the "Black Fang".

At first, the journey proved to be extremely difficult for the Assassin, by both not being accustomed to socialize openly, except for his once best friend Nino, who wasn't accompanying him anymore, and a huge amount of regret for his past actions, what made him start to look for a road to redemption.

After a few trials and errors in the upcoming months, his speech began to improve, starting by offering small services in exchange of food or a place to stay at night, to even joining small caravans to move across the continent and managing to deceive authorities and mercenary groups.

Sadly, not everything were good news. Short after starting his newfound freedom, every day that passed began to weight heavily on him. He started to become more of a human than he ever had the chance to be in the past. The shattering man had to experience all sorts of new feelings and emotions by himself, without no-one to talk about them, since getting emotionally close to anyone could be proven dangerous for them.

At first, every day that passed was a new feeling, a new lesson learned and another night covered in cries, tears and even nightmares. Even with all that, the bad dreams weren't as persistent nor intense as they grew up to be in the upcoming years to the present day. Jaffar started to sleep less and less with each day, getting the habit of passing several days without proper rest due his fear of experiencing nightmares, even forcing him to look for a new routine to rest the minimal.

Things kept the same for the next five years, until a strange turn took place while he was crossing the Nabata Desert. Jaffar was wandering aimlessly, prey of sudden rush of sadness and regret. He grabbed his head by the sides as his legs gave up, making his knees hit the hot sand. He started crying for divine help. That was the first time he prayed to Elimine to end his suffering, to bring a new light to his life.

Just when it seemed that everything was lost for him, a strange portal opened in front of the broken man, showing some strange stones. Without a second thought, thinking the goddess has heard his prayer Jaffar crossed the portal without even giving credit to what his eyes saw delivering him to an unfamiliar place. A huge realm, which foundations seemed to be rising from the clouds themselves, looking at one side far away, a realm of blinding white snow could be seen. On the other side, lands ruled by fire and flames, and if those weren't enough, looking above, hundreds of levitating green isles rest peacefully.

After regaining his breath and composure, a man in a white and golden tunic raised a hand to him in salutation. He had black hair, not above the Assassin's age. He was wearing a friendly smile and an air of transparency.

"Hi, I'm Reks, nice to meet you."

The Assassin took a step back, he served a master in the past, making him a weapon which was in service of a greater evil.

The summoner wasn't alone, some royals of the realm were accompanying him and explained everything to Jaffar, who at first wasn't thrilled about serving another master, but by spending a few months together, Reks proved himself to be trustworthy, as much as he was annoying, which was a lot.

After almost a year of the Assassin's arrival, Reks summoned another hero, The General Wallace, who as a matter of coincidence, arrived from the same realm Jaffar came from. The three of them formed an impressive team, with the Angel of Death's deadly precision, and Wallace's strength and defense. Everything seemed fine about them except that Rek's tactician skills were at best lacking, not as his magic skills which were at least, average.

Reks ended up giving up the role of Summoner to become a mage, there were many summoners around already somehow, but renouncing the summoning weapon Breidablik meant that all contracts formed with it are sealed to end and the heroes involved, bound to return to their respective realms. Refusing to accept this, the former summoner, along with his two new friends found a way yo stay together by a blood pact between them in the summoning stones with help of some dark mages. The new pact seemed to work pretty much as a contract, except that the summoner no longer posses an aggressive/forced command on his once summoned companions. That and a triviality that all the heroes who take part in the ritual are no longer immortal like the ones summoned by Breidablik.

With all the parts agreeing with the terms, the pact took place, and the group of armed lunatics serve as informal protectors of the people of Zenith even now.

Raigh, The Zealous Shaman.

Support level: C

Being one of Nino's sons, Jaffars feels an insistent curiosity about his whereabouts and activities. Even if said curiosity is not well seen by the green haired druid, he has helped the Assassin and his team in a few occasions, making him a bit of an acquaintance.

Navarre, The Scarlet Sword.

Support level: C

After sharing a place side by side in a few battles and even having the chance to exchange a few words, it's hard to say if what's between the Assassin and the Swordsmen is mere respect, tension or just two people who are at least curious about the other's way of living, but not curious enough to talk about it.

Mark, The Wandering Tactician.

Support level: C

Just like with Wallace, Jaffar and the Tactician have crossed paths years ago back in his homeland. Mark was the Tactician that led the army the Assassin to part of back at Elibe and disbanded after Nergal's demise.

Recently the Tactician arrived to Askr with help of the Dragon's Gate. Since his arrival is not product of the use of the renown Breidablik or even the designated summoners like every other outsider, Jaffar along with Reks and Wallace are worried that they would get blamed for performing forbidden summoning rituals by the Askrian authorities, so they tend to offer him shelter at their place in order to help him keep a low profile.

Even if they are not close friends, Mark and Jaffar share a past and along with a deep sense of respect for one another.
